TELEHEALTH

Counseling sessions have been increasingly done through telehealth.  Research supports that this is a proven method to receive effective treatment.  Sessions are billable through most insurance plans, but eligibility and benefits will need to be verified.

Video

A video session with your counselor is where you see and talk with each other in a virtual face-to-face setting.

To talk with your counselor via video, you will need to schedule an appointment and discuss which video platform works best for you.  Zoom is the preferred video meeting service.  FaceTime and Skype are also options.  This will work on smartphones, laptops, and desktops.

At the time of your appointment you will either have a scheduled meeting on Zoom or your counselor text to confirm you are ready for the appointment and begin the video session.  Be prepared to be in a space with privacy at that time.

Phone

A phone session with your counselor is where you talk to each other over a phone call. Phone sessions are a great way to conveniently speak with your counselor by simply using a phone no matter where you are.

To talk with your counselor over the phone, you will need to schedule a time with your counselor and be prepared to be in a space with privacy at that time. The counselor will prompt you with a text and then call you at the number you have provided.
